Platis Gialos and Psarou

On the southern coast the beach of the equally named town Platis Gialos (also Platis Yialos) can be found. The beach can be easily reached by bus or hired car. It is very popular because it offers attractive possibilities to do water sports. Fine sands and clear water, the flatly sloping beach attracts visitors from all over the island. Nearby shops and tavernas assure a good supply.

Also located on the southern coast, the beach of Psarou is especially popular among the locals. It is an ideal place to relax. Tavernas enchant the visitor with typical food, and the view around the whole coast is of incredible beauty. Beside the usual water sports activities, there is also a diving school.
