Mykonos Panagia Tourlani, Ano MeraPanagia Tourlani Monastery. This monastery, situated in Ano Mera, is an interesting destination. Its bell-tower dates to the 17th century, in the inner court you find a fountain of white marble. The interior also hides treasures from the Middle Age. Today the monastery is no longer inhabited. Panagia Tourlani is about 8 km from Mykonos City. Ano Mera is a charming little village, diffusing complete silence and inner calm. It is known for its old windmills, and there are also many typical tavernas, situated in the breath-taking scenery of the island's most wonderful bays. |
