Inner Cyclades

Mykonos

Mykonos' climate

The small island’s climate is characterized by very hot and dry summers, with cloudless, azure blue sky.

Temperatures are summer-like between April and September, August being the hottest month with an average temperature of about 34 degree Celsius.

Mykonos’ winters are mild, cloudy and rainy. Extreme temperatures are 40 degrees Celsius – it cannot become hotter because of the ever blowing wind – and, during winter, around the freezing point.

Anyway, it hardly ever snows on the island. The water temperature in summer is between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius, especially at the very flat beaches.
