Also called Chora by the island population, this wonderful white city can easily claim to be one of the Cyclade's most beautiful towns.

Especially worth a visit is the port, where there is also the international marina. Fishing boats and luxury yachts lie peacefully side by side, softly swinging in the sea breeze.

The actual city life takes place here, next to the port promenade. Tavernas and pubs, bars and ouzeries are densely packed. This promenade has its very peculiar charme; the combination of colourful, touristic ado and the original, Greek island atmosphere stand for cosmopolitanism as much as for idyll.
